California Latinas Presente! San Diego Advocacy Day

San Diego Latina/x Advocacy Day is a community advocacy event that invites Latinas/xs to learn more about reproductive justice and the California policy process. Participants will dive into a range of policies affecting the Latina/x community and learn how to speak to legislators to influence the policy process and make lasting change.

As part of this event, we are providing in-person, hands-on training on California's policy making process and effective policy advocacy story-telling strategies. We will end our time together with in-district visits with state legislators and their staff to discuss our Latina/x Reproductive Justice Policy Agenda.

Draft Agenda

9am-9:30am: Registration and Breakfast

9:30am-12pm: Morning Program and Training

12pm-12:30pm: Lunch

1pm-3:30pm: Legislative Visits in groups (transportation support available)

3:30pm-4pm: Closing and Debrief

 

We are asking participants to please submit a $10 registration fee (free for dues-paying chapter members). Your registration fee covers meals and all logistics for the day. If you need support with registration fee or any accomodation or access needs, please reach out to Christina at 213-270-5258.
